Listeners of the VR Workforce Studio Podcast will learn about ABLEnow accounts—a new tool for eligible people with disabilities to save, invest and pay for qualified disability expenses without impacting most means-tested benefits.
The monthly podcast shares stories of vocational rehabilitation and disability employment. It also celebrates vocational rehabilitation professionals and employers that offer opportunities for people with disabilities.
The January 2020 edition of the VR Workforce Studio Podcast features a spotlight on ABLEnow alongside interviews with Virginia’s Chief Workforce Advisor and a Wilson Workforce and Rehabilitation Center graduate who is building a successful career in the retail pharmacy industry. As part of the new partnership, ABLEnow will be featured in future VR Workforce Studio Podcast episodes and be recognized as a sponsor throughout the year.
The top-rated podcast is produced by the Wilson Workforce and Rehabilitation Center (WWRC) Foundation. One of only eight comprehensive vocational rehabilitation centers in the country, WWRC helps about 3,000 individuals with disabilities in their journey to employment each year.
The free podcast is available on the VR Workforce Studio Podcast website and popular apps such as Apple Podcasts, Stitcher and more. Recent shows are formatted for radio and broadcast on the Global Impact Today network and Virginia Voice.
