In May 2020, the National Disability Institute (NDI) launched the Financial Resilience Center, an online information hub to help people with disabilities and chronic health conditions respond to the financial challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.

NDI’s Financial Resilience Center answers frequently asked questions about COVID-19 topics such as:

  • Stimulus payments
  • Employment and unemployment
  • Public benefits
  • Housing, food and healthcare
  • Money management

Provided at no cost, these resources are designed to increase financial stability and reduce economic stress. Additionally, the Financial Resilience Center’s partnerships with the Association for Financial Counseling, Planning and Education (AFCPE) and LifeCents provide referrals to free online financial counseling and training.
