Disability Employment Month

National Disability Employment Awareness Month takes place each October to celebrate the contributions of America's workers with disabilities and increase awareness of the value of a workforce inclusive of their skills and talents. The 2019 National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) theme is "The Right Talent, Right Now."

As an empowering financial tool for the disability community, ABLEnow is proud to support the employment needs and contributions of Americans with disabilities. Many current customers are saving (or plan to save) earned income in their ABLEnow account. Thanks to the ABLE to Work Act, working ABLE account owners who do not participate in an employer-sponsored retirement plan may contribute above the annual ABLE contribution limit ($15,000 in 2019).

Millions of Americans with disabilities are eligible to open an ABLE account today. Take this quiz to see if you or someone you know is eligible.

Learn more about how to participate in National Disability Employment Awareness Month by visiting and exploring the resources on the U.S. Department of Labor Office of Disability Employment Policy website.
