A Way for Parents to Provide

As president of a Washington, D.C. think tank, Eli Lehrer works to change and conquer complex issues. The same passion he uses to make an impact on important national policy topics can be seen right at home.

Eli wants what every parent wants for their child – the best future possible. He and his wife, Kari, are doing as much as they can to provide for their son today, as well as later down the road.

“Andrew is our only child and we want to make sure he has every opportunity to live a full and rich life,” said Eli.

Andrew was diagnosed with autism at age two. He’s 12 now and full of energy. Like many other kids, Andrew loves being outside, taking walks in the woods, working with clay, and playing on his iPad.

One way Eli and Kari are planning for Andrew’s future is through ABLEnow. They opened an account over two years ago and started saving immediately. “It gives us a tremendous feeling of security to save for our son’s future with ABLEnow,” added Eli.

Eli knows Andrew will eventually need support for education and living expenses. He also knows he has the option to set up a special needs trust as well. “For now, the ABLEnow account is a cheaper and more convenient way to save,” said Eli. “It’s simply the easiest, most flexible, and cost effective tool to build assets and a future for anyone who faces special challenges in life.”
